Chapter 13
NATASHA’S POV
I woke up this morning with a mission, I had to sell the cymbal and get money to feed the house. Nana was going to make the last batch of potatoes today and we would be left with nothing.
“Are you sure you are going to sell that thing?” Fanny asked, staring at the cymbal.
I glanced towards the golden plate, to be sincere it was just a plate but I was being positive. Mountain man had been so annoyed when I mentioned that it was a plate, maybe it was something more important.
“Don’t you trust me Fanny, you know I won’t return to this house till this thing is sold,” I assured.
The walk to the town’s market was hectic, the scorching sun shining violently. My clothes were damp from sweating too much but I was going to relent.
