Chapter 38
NANA’S POV
Immediately Natasha walked through the door. I felt a heavy weight pulled off my shoulder. I was relieved that someone had got to take care of her.
But I was still upset that she went to the hills, she could’ve gone to the roof instead.
Seeing her tell Claire a story reminded me so much of her childhood before her parents left. I was sure that was the reason she zoned out for a bit.
“What did he do?” She asked impatiently.
“Calm down child. He didn’t kill anyone.” I said jokingly, to lighten the mood.
"We couldn't believe our eyes, , The mayor just showed up with a bulldozer and started tearing through the ranch." I began telling her.
Flashbacks of our pleas replaying in my head causing a minor headache.
"We tried to stop him, but he just ignored us. He said he had the right to do it, that it was for the good of the town." I continued.
