Chapter 63
Hephaestus POV
The ride to the beach felt interminably long. Nat kept bugging me for what I told Nana. She was surprised Nana allowed her at first.
"What did you tell her?" She asked again.
"Nothing," She arched her brow, obviously not buying that. She twitched her lips funnily in amusement.
"Nana might have feasted but she's not the type who would allow me to go out with you easily," She mumbled. I only nodded.
She was right. I had a tough time dealing with her.
She claimed she only allowed that because she knew her granddaughter would be anxious and happy. She wouldn't want to ruin that happiness.
She wouldn't stop threatening if anything happened to her daughter on our way.
"I doubt you promised her something before she allowed this," Nat said.
"I promised her your safety," I answered.
"Really?" She asked and I nodded.
"Nana worries too
