Chapter 28

When Keith walked into his room, 

Melete was waiting for him. She had transformed into her true form, her blue eyes threatening to raze him to the ground. He ignored her, walking past her toward his bed like his ass was on fire.

Ah, hell, his whole body was on fire. He had walked around his mansion twice to calm down, and it hadn’t worked. He felt as taut as a coiled spring, ready to snap any minute. Ready to explode.

His head replayed the kiss over and over, trying to forget yet remember all of it. Her eyes, green irises that had stared at him seductively. He could recall the way they stared hooded at him with those lips parted and eager, waiting for his kisses. Luring him in.

And he had fallen rather disgracefully.

“I cannot believe you right now!” 

Melete hissed as she watched the god slide into his bed as if he hadn’t a care in the world.

“What, Melete, can you not believe?” Keith asked, keeping his face as neutral as he could.
