Chapter 31
“Say ah,” Keith ordered, his eyes trained on the monitor screen, watching squiggly lines move up and down the green surface. His patient fixed her green eyes on him in a glare, blinked, and then parted her lips to say ah.
And hades, such lovely lips they were.
It had been exactly thirteen days since Cassandra Wilson had moved into his home, crashed through his barriers, and left a handprint in his head. He watched her now, lying flat on the examination bed, her hair tied up on her head, her eyes fixed on him in a fierce, piercing gaze, and the rest of her body covered in her usual outfit. A blue shirt that revealed the slight roundness of her breasts, teasing him to no end.
He supposed he ought to applaud himself. He had been able to resist her after that horrid breakfast they’d had together. More or less avoided contact with her unless under dire circumstances.
