“We were out camping. My father was super excited. He was all over the place, trying to set up camp tents, the firewood, the barbecue, and everything else all at once. That man has no chills. He was so damned excited, he made his excitement very contagious.”

“Who?” Cassandra asked, glancing at him. She kicked him in the shoulder when she saw the glint in his eyes. He was teasing her. “Oh, stop it. You aren’t far off, though. My mother always said I behaved more like my dad. But hey, it was hard not to get excited. He got marshmallows and fuzzy pillows, and we’d set up a tent. I was pretty stoked. At least, I think I was. It has been so long.”
