“If I remember correctly, there was a woman.” Cassandra began once more. She wasn’t done with her questions just yet. “The woman that was trying to squeeze the life out of me. I remember you saying her name as I was slipping into unconsciousness.”

“Melete,” Keith stated. He had no idea that she wasn’t completely passed out when he got to her.

“Yes, that was the name you called. I know she’s a goddess like you are, a very powerful one at that. I can still feel the shivers.”

“Well, I suppose she has that effect on a lot of people. She’s Zeus’ daughter, and Hera’s her stepmother. Hera’s crazy. She tossed my ass down here, so yes, she is that powerful. There is no denying that truth.”

“Can you tell me about her? She’s rather terrifying, but I’d want to know what her problem with me was.”

“It was a premeditated attack. Somehow, she discovered what we had together, and she decided to take you out just to spite me. We have a rather distasteful relationship.”
