Hypnos opened his eyes and stared at the wall clock opposite his bed. It was past noon already. He rubbed his eyes with his palm before pushing himself off the bed. He couldn’t remember the last thing that had happened before he went to bed, which rarely happened more than a few times in a decade.
He grabbed his phone and checked the calendar. He had been sleeping for a week in the mortal realm calendar.
If anything, he wouldn’t deny the fact that he felt like a heavy load had been lifted off his shoulders. He felt a renewed sense of peace wash over him as he was without any worry or a sense of guilt anymore.
A few minutes later, Hypnos was taking a stroll through the gardens, and he was astonished at how well-kept it was even after his banishment the first time. His mother wasn’t much of a gardener, and Thanatos rarely had time on his hands to take care of his plants, but between them, someone had done this.
