Chapter 4
During a family dinner which failed miserably, Aria and her parents were on their way back home. It was raining and dark, and her parents were having yet another argument over something insignificant. She was crying already while trying to act like a mediator when we heard a blast of a horn in front of us.
Aria couldn’t remember much of what happened after that, but I remember waking up in the hospital.
Three weeks later, she was cleared for discharge, and the doctor disclosed the news of her father’s death.
Four years after that ugly incident, here she was, working a job she thoroughly disliked because of her jackass boss, who thought it was charming to be as rude and displeasing as he liked.
Aria wiped her eyes furiously as she grabbed her bag off the table counter and made her way out of the house. She was already running late for work, and it was a huge day at the office today; she couldn’t afford to be late, or else she would risk the ire of Asher Montgo
