Chapter 100
Hypnos remained silent. He couldn’t bring himself to say anything to her. He shouldn’t have been here in the first place, but he defied all warnings, and he was in a situation that he had promised himself he would avoid by all means necessary, but he had lied not only to himself but to his family as well.
Cassandra wasn’t going to buy his silence. She could see the distraught on his face; he knew something, and he was going through a lot to keep it from her, and she wanted to know what it was. She was growing tired of being fragile.
She closed the distance between them and looked into his eyes.
“I know that you know something, and I’m begging you to tell me, please.” Cassandra pleaded.
Hypnos was going through a difficult moment. He didn’t want to see her beg for anything, much less begging him, but he couldn’t bring himself to talk. He’d lost so much control in all of this, and losing anymore was going to cause a lot more trouble than he wanted.
