"Aegea Harts holds the key to destroying the AIs," Aamon revealed.
Red froze, her face instantly turning pale. She wondered how Aamon knew about this. Where did he get such information?
"I was assigned to find her, or more precisely, the device she was going to use. But no one knows exactly what that device looks like," Aamon continued.
"But she's dead."
"If that's true, I'm not sure what to do next."
"Did you want to take the device from her? I mean, Aegea?" Red asked cautiously.
"Secure it. Because if Aegea fails, no one knows where the device is now."
Red didn't want to reveal her true identity because "securing it" could mean either Aamon and the Assassins tried to protect it or wanted to take it. Red couldn't risk trusting Aamon's words yet.
"Then you should find the device if Aegea is already dead," Red suggested.
