Chapter 160. Jealousy

Red woke up and felt a cool breath tickling her neck. She immediately realized what had happened last night, then carefully turned her head. Aamon was still asleep, holding her from behind. 

Red's face turned red instantly, and she tried to free herself from Aamon's embrace.

Aamon immediately tightened his grip, then buried his face in Red's shoulder. "Don't go."

"It's morning, Aamon," Red hissed.

"I'm still sleepy."

Red sighed. "Please, we must return to the hall and talk to the others."

There was a heavy sigh from Aamon, and then he let her go. He curled up in the blanket and stared at Red intently.

"I love you," Aamon said suddenly.

Red didn't know how to answer. She was too embarrassed to return Aamon's words, especially after what they had done last night. She didn't know if she should be happy or sorry. Another question lingered: had she crossed a line by going so far with Aamon?
