Chapter 161. A Moment of Peace

The Crusade had ended, and while there had been casualties, 1,300 humans had survived the game. Red was determined to keep that number intact, knowing that she would need every bit of human strength to face the AI forces one day. 

Upon returning to After Domini, Speed took charge of Kit's workshop. Red thought this was a good decision. Even though Speed was an expert in ancient weapons, he could learn to modify and repair modern weapons with Ingo's help.

"This is too much," Speed admitted, looking worried as he scanned the workshop. "I don't think I understand these things."

"Don't worry, I'm here to help you," Ingo replied calmly.

"I can't forge traditional weapons here," Speed said, frustration clearly in his voice.

"Actually, you can make traditional weapons with just one click. You don't have to waste time or energy," Ingo offered, pointing to the advanced machines.

Speed chuckled. "There's a difference, you know. Banging the tools with your han
