Chapter 5
She shook her head at what the maid said.
Everything did not fall into place, and this was the first time it had happened.
“You’re not interrupting anything. Why don’t we start with work as usual?” she suggested with a raised eyebrow.
She wasn’t sure how she would handle them if they had another one of these incidents.
“Miss, is our guest all right?”
When she looked to her side, she saw him covering his face.
She continued their conversation without overthinking why he was so eager to defend himself in front of the maid. “Yes, he is fine. He needed a nap, though.”
The maid nodded as she walked away.
She looked at him lying down, with his hands covering his face.“You are not getting better. What is wrong with you?”
She sat down next to him with concern evident in her voice as she spoke. He slowly lowered his hands and stared at her wide-eyed.
“No one should know I'm here.”
“But my grandparents already did.”
