Chapter 72. Destroying the Orb

The walls of the orb were made of beautiful crystals that were clear and sparkling. They entered a great and spacious main hall. Tall columns rose to a seemingly endless peak. To the left and right were winding staircases that went all the way to the top of the Orb. It was not dark inside, but glittering. Because of the reflection from the crystals that gave off light.

"Like an LED light display," Josh commented.

Edgard approached one of the pillars and looked around the empty area. By his count, there were eight pillars in a hexagonal shape. 

"I'm going to set explosives on all the pillars. I think that will completely destroy the Orb," the man said.

Elijah nodded. "Then I'll find the queen." 

"If the Orb is destroyed, the Queen will die, right?" asked Carol.

"Probably not." Isaac suddenly snapped. "The Orb is just a place, like your home or a base. It's the heart that must be destroyed."

"Guard the entrance," Bone ordered.
