Chapter 93. From Isolation into Mission

Through an emergency broadcast, the victory at Langdon made Elijah and his companions famous worldwide. It became a morale booster for the Deformity and the army fighting the queens and their ants. Mankind began to believe that they could wipe these aliens off the face of the Earth.

But this victory didn't feel like a triumph to Elijah. Upon his return to Washington, he was confined to a lab and forbidden to see anyone. All because of a physical change: Elijah's hair and irises turned silver, and his body grew taller and more muscular. Strange, but true.

This anomaly caused a split among the leaders. Some wanted to keep Elijah locked up, fearing he might become dangerous. Others believed he should be allowed to live freely among his comrades and join the fight. Elijah had been in the lab for a week, awaiting the leaders' decision, but he felt imprisoned.
