“Are you sure you want to do this? If that company fails, we will lose millions.”

I nodded confidently at dad while he’s sitting on the swivel chair and I’m sitting in front of him. Between us was his working table. We’re in his study and I consulted my plans to him.

“I will take the risk, dad. Emery needs it. She can’t lose the thing she’s been fighting for.”

He nodded. “It’s your decision. She’s your wife, anyway. But even if you succeeded in making her the CEO again, the confidence and trust of the shareholders and investors she lost won’t be guaranteed. She’s a prodigy in business, just like you. I can see that clearly, Terrence. If she has the resources, she would’ve taken her position back. But as I said, there’s no guarantee that the shareholders and investors will trust a falling company again.”
