Chapter 179. Reclaiming My Life

Tears welled up in my eyes as I stood on the sidewalk, waiting for a cab to pass. It was much later now, the sun was setting but I knew that I had to get the car and go over to Nora’s parents before stopping home. 

The conversation with Josh replayed in my mind, each word cutting deeper than the last. His accusations were harsh and they stung, but deep down, I knew they held some truth. I had been lenient with Bradley, excusing his actions time and time again, while holding grudges against others who had wronged me less. 

As I stood on the curb, waiting for a cab, I could not shake the feeling of guilt gnawing at my insides. Maybe I was being too harsh on Josh. He was the one who had told me the truth even though Bradley had the chance to do that over and over but chose not to do so. 

He had always been by my side, from the very beginning. He had always tried his best to be truthful to me even though there had been a lot of half-truths. But that was better
