“What?” I stammered, my voice barely a whisper as I stared at him in disbelief. My heart thumped in my chest and I felt like I was falling down a cliff and could not hit the ground no matter how long.
Josh ran his hand through his hair and sighed. “Lisa, it’s you. You did it all.”
I chuckled weakly and without humor. My throat was dry and I blinked rapidly for a few seconds. He was playing with me, he had to be. “What do you mean by I did it all.”
