Chapter 210. Serenity

I took two pills and popped them into my mouth, closing the bottle and placing it back into the cabinet before heading to the faucet and opening it.

With water gushing out, I placed my mouth there and swallowed the pills. I knew that it would take a few minutes or maybe half an hour before they would work so yeah, that meant I had a few minutes that I was forced to be in the real world.

I closed the faucet and headed back into the room. A knock on the door caught my attention and I made sure to wipe my face with the back of my hand in case there was a trail that may have been left by my crying.

I walked over to the door and opened it without asking. There stood Mark. “Hey, can I come in?” He asked.

I chuckled weakly and stepped out of the way. Was he here to scream at me even more or tell me how he still didn’t trust me?

At this point, or at this moment, I didn’t really care. He walked in and I closed the door, standing there. “What do you want?”
