Chapter 216. Attention
I didn’t reply to them, I only focused on Mark. He helped me up and I stood there quietly for a few seconds as the sounds of the sirens grew louder.
I swallowed hard, I needed to do something. And I knew that a lot of attention was on me but at the particular moment, I didn’t care.
I only wanted one thing, and that was to help my father.
I breathed out a short sigh and then turned towards Mark. I stared at him for a few seconds before I started walking away.
“Lisa, hey, Lisa! What are you doing?” He walked right after me, grabbed my wrists gently.
As soon as his hand made contact with my skin, I used all of my strength and swung very hard, punching him in the nose.
I heard a sickening sound as he tumbled backwards and fell to the ground. I used that moment to rush out of there.
