Chapter 215. A Car Crash

Mark stopped me and stood in the way of me going to the walk-in closet. It was clear that he was not a fan of my plan of doing exactly as Josh wanted. And honestly, if I was him, I would have done the same.

But the thing here was that my father’s life was on the line. I could not lose everyone. I had already lost my mom and grandma. I could not not lose my father too.

“Mark, get out of my way,” I said to him in a firm way.

“Lisa, we need to think this through. We have to call Mike or Detective Jacobs.” He kept trying to stop me even though I kept trying to walk past him.

“You can call them, but I need to help my father,” I replied sternly as I pushed past him aggressively and finally found my way to the closet.

“Lisa!!” Mark exclaimed. He almost fell but I knew that he was okay even though I did not look back.

I was worried and I could not deny that. I was on the verge of losing my mind and crashing out.
