Chapter 35
Michael was shocked by those words he heard her say. He couldn’t believe she could utter them, and instead of getting scared, he grew so upset that he didn’t realize when he landed her a slap across the face, one that reeled her to the other side of the restaurant. She fell heavily to the floor with no one to help her to her feet.
“Did you just slap me, Michael?!” She asked with disbelief, like she wasn’t the one who received the slap only a few seconds back. She tried to rise to her feet but to no avail.
“Yes, I did, and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it. Don’t you try to threaten me or my loved one, and if as little as a strand of her hair gets hurt, I will tear you into a thousand pieces. That I promise you.” He pointed his finger at her as he found his way out of the restaurant with bloodshot eyes that made him look no less than a blood-sucking demon.
Debra found it difficult to believe that it was Michael who treated her that way. The same Michael
