Chapter 9
Dominic mentioned going to drop me off at the grocery store, but it didn’t happen. He helped me with the shopping, and we were done. He drove me back home.
He even assisted me in unloading the groceries from the car, and I wondered how he went from being a bossy and authoritative figure to a domesticated one.
When he bore those bags in his arms, he sure looked like a domesticated husband. While watching him, I wished that I was one of the shopping bags, especially when I saw the muscles on his arms.
What was I thinking?
“Are you not coming in?” Dominic asked after seeing me standing frozen near his car.
Earlier, I was shocked at his treatment of me. First, he helped me when I got inside the car, and he also helped me adjust my seatbelt. “I’m coming,” I said, and then he stared at me oddly. Did I say something wrong?
Dominic shrugged off his shoulders before walking away, and I followed him inside. “I thought you’re going to work,” I reminded
