Chapter 12
Before approaching Keith's door and knocking, I took a big breath outside his room for strength and courage. “Hello,” I murmured, smiling at the most attractive man I'd ever seen, and when he smiled back, oh my my, how do I express how I felt both excited and giddy at the same time? Then, finally, I felt a million butterflies in my stomach, and I knew I'd slobber on him if I didn't shut my lips right away.
“Marian, please come in.” Keith flung open the door wide to welcome me in.
I complimented his space and said it from the bottom of my heart, “Your apartment is nice.” Or my mouth would start complimenting him on everything in a matter of seconds. What if Keith was the one who aided me at the time?
Even as a housemaid, the prospect of living with him piqued my interest. The man was gentler than Dominic, and he didn't treat me like a second-class citizen because of my current occupation.
“How are you doing, Marian?” “You appear to be upset,” he observed.
