Chapter 36

Lyca’s POV

“Ugh…” I gasped, waking up with a headache. “…what happened?” Because of the distress, my mind is still in dose. It takes me a minute before I remember what happened.

One by one, the image before I lose consciousness appears. “Matthew!” I asserted, remembering the syringe he buried in my neck.

The door opens, and two servants enter the room with a food tray.

“Princess Lyca, the queen, send your dinner. Since you are tired of the long journey, she wants you to rest and eat nutritious food…” One of the servants said.

“Queen? Journey? What are you talking about? Anyway, where am I, and how do you know me?” I started to panic, so I stood and checked myself.

The two servants look at one another, and like me, they are puzzled.

“Princess Lyca, have you forgotten? You go on a long journey after mourning the loss of your father, the king…”

“Is this the castle of Stone?” I asked in terror while looking at the room where I was.
