Chapter 39

Xavier, Jaxson, and Kai reach Greyfield’s village. They haven’t seen the outside world in years, which is why the changes take them by surprise.

“We need to stick together, don’t go around…” Xavier reminded himself as he noticed Jaxson engrossed in the area. If they are separated, they can easily find each other. Xavier, on the other hand, does not want to waste time. Every second Lyca lingers with her adversary’s hand, their chances of recovering her diminish.

“So this is Greyfield’s kingdom… Does this imply that this is our little princess’ domain?” Jaxson spoke quietly to Kai.

“We’ve arrived…” Xavier remarked upon seeing a business with a dragon head sign. Despite his father’s reputation as a lousy king, many soldiers remain loyal to him, and as his son, they become loyal to him.

Austin greets them and immediately embraces Xavier. “Prince, as soon as I received your message, I gathered the soldiers who were present in town.”

Xavier looks around and n
