Chapter 38

Prince Matthew was called by his knight, so he missed the arrival of Lyca and his father. However, his focus remains on the queen. He fears what his father might say that will upset his lover.

“Prince, that’s Princess Lyca…Won’t you approach her?” the knight asked.

Matthew raised his eyebrows. “Why would I? She is nothing to me now, so I don’t care about her presence,” he asserted and looked at Lyca. However, Matthew fails to see her face because she is facing the other direction.

The knight frowned in disbelief. “Prince, perhaps you have been blinded by your love for the queen. Princess Lyca has been your best friend since childhood…”
