Chapter 3

It was 5 in the morning. Every single part of the city was still very quiet and dark, the only sound that resonated through the city was the sound of the early morning breeze.

"I'm going out to see a friend, I'll be back soon," Terran said as Veron handed him his leather coat. Terran always went in and out of his building at will, but never let any of his kids go out. 

"Buy me some more ice cream on your way back dad, the one at home is almost finished!" Veron said with a big smile. "Sure thing dear," Terran replied. 

David came out of his room and looked down at his dad and Veron from the upper end of the stairs that lead to their rooms. Veronica turned her head upwards and saw David standing there, staring at them. 

"David, come say goodbye to dad," She said with a disappointed look. David looked into his dad's dark purple eyes and walked away without saying a word.
