Chapter 55

Henry takes a lot of time in the garage and I'm busy opening a magazine that I find on the couch. The magazine probably belongs to Brianna, for the beautiful and skinny model on the cover. I look for all the elevations of the sofa until I find a remote control that turns on the TV. The last watched channel on the list shows the rerun of an American football game. I'm not interested in sports and I still don't know which team I should root for being a normal person, yet I jump to the bigger couch and throw myself into it. Sitting with my feet on the puff and the coccyx on the edge of the sofa, I watch the game paying more attention to the colors of the uniforms than to the match itself.

I hear a slight beat and turn around to see Henry carrying his sister as if she were a pet. Brianna is under his arm, her feet crawling freely across the ground and her head thrown forward.
