Chapter 6
The past is nothing but a fantasy. Although false, because we cannot really live it, they are the memories of a clear memory that determines who we will be in the future. The perfumes, the sounds, the sensations of Déjà vu, and all the intuitions that I have six times more than a normal person, become useless for someone who cannot relive really important moments. I'm always getting lost in thoughts and memories that don't get me anywhere.
The girls' bathroom is already heated by the steam of the showers inside the nine occupied bays when awakened from another daydream; being the third in a single morning. The tenth bay is left for me, but my steps go in front of the long square mirror above the sinks. Despite the inflexible policy of the clinic, the bathrooms have mirrors because it is an attempt not to let us forget ourselves. Nurses are always waiting leaning against the sinks, while patients hide through the blue curtain that replaces a real door.
