MELISSA

"Oh, I see you're enjoying yourself, but it's late, and I think we'd better leave now!" I say this loudly as she grabs one of my arms.

"What?" she shouts, unable to hear the loud music playing at the moment.

"Let's go!" I shout, and she nods, smiling and continuing to dance with the man. I hold her hand, looking at my friend's face, and she stops smiling at that moment and stops dancing before answering.

"Let's stay a little longer, Mel!"

"Maggie, I want to leave, and we can continue the fun at home; come on!" I say, still holding her hand.

I've been hurt a lot by someone, and I just want to protect my friend. I don't want to be an annoying person who's destroying her fun, but I know this man can't have good intentions, and she's very drunk.
