MELISSA
"She's our daughter, and we have the right to see her!" the short-haired woman says with contempt, and I raise one eyebrow, still looking at her.
"So now you want to see her? What has happened? Did guilt overwhelm you?" I ask, seeing the woman look at me angrily while the man remains silent.
"Get out of our way; you're not her family to be here with our daughter!" the woman says, but I don't move.
"For a long time, I was all that girl had; I was the only person who was with her all the time, in the worst and best of times, and she did the same thing to me. You may be her mother, but you don't deserve that title. You only hurt her, and now you care about her?"
"She's already suffered a lot, and you want to hurt her even more?" I ask, seeing that I'm irritating her more.
"The doctor told us that she was raped by three men. That's all her fault; a decent girl doesn't go out with unknown men and wear provocative clothes like a dirty whore!" sh
