Chapter 55

MELISSA

I follow her down the corridor and watch as she opens the last door.

"Well, this is your office from now on. Mr. Simon is very busy with some very important meetings, and he'll talk to you when he's available. Have a good day, Miss Freire," she says, leaving the room, and I walk in to see my workspace.

Miss Freire is what everyone calls me now, and I like it. I walk around the room and see that there are shelves with files, a glass table in the corner, a computer, and a glass wall like in Gabriel Simon's office.

I get closer and see the sun coming into the room through the glass, and I can see the whole city from this angle.

I smile happily before putting my bag on the table and sitting down in the comfortable chair available in my living room. I turn on the computer in front of me, and a few minutes later I receive a new email from Gabriel's computer.
