Chapter 25

The mermaids all looked different. Some had long, flowing red hair with light blue eyes. Others had pixie-cut black hair and brown eyes. Some had freckles, others had olive-toned skin. Some wore a bikini top made of shells like Ariel from The Little Mermaid, but others wore simple cotton t-shirts.

The one thing they all had in common was their tail. The tail was evergreen and covered in scales. It started out thick at the waist and narrowed down to the bottom, where there were two fins, their coloring a bit lighter than that of the rest of the tail.

Like the mermaids, the mermen were full of diversity. There were some with long wavy hair like you would imagine that of a Greek god, but others had their heads cleanly shaved, not a speck of hair there. Some mermen were strong and muscular, while others had long and lanky arms and a thin torso that was all skin and bone. Some were tan like they had been laying out in the su
