Tyla raced home to tell Madison what had just happened at the store. “Guess who I just saw?”
“You know, I would never guess that right. Who did you see? And why are you acting like it was a ghost? Oh wait, did you see your grandma, your mom, or your dad?” She held her mouth for a second and continued, “You know I’m not one of the smart ones. These mind games are not for me.”
Tyla lightened up a little at the look on Madison’s face after she mentioned her family. “No, dummy,” she replied, chuckling. Madison joined her.
“You should’ve seen the look on your face after you mentioned them.” She tried to mimic the look Madison had, and then she said, “It was Calvin that I saw at the store.”
“That’s some creepy shit, girl. Is he following you around? Because if that’s true, it’s kind of scary, and you need to report that man for stalking.”
“He said he’s down here for other purposes,” Tyla informed her friend.
