“How?” I asked, my voice filled with surprise as he untied the ribbon around the small box, revealing a large emerald gemstone with white band around it. Somehow, it clicked in my head, making my lips spread in a smile. “This was part of your trip?” 

“I was watching human mating ceremonies, especially from the place you come from. Generally, there are a lot of different human mating ceremonies, how do you people know which one to stick to?” He inquired, removing the ring from its box and then comparing it side by side with my eyes. “I thought as much, I knew it would make them sparkle.” He remarked, more to himself than me. 

“Hold on, you’ve been thinking about this for a while now?” I laughed a little, I didn’t even think to go there, I mean seeing that there’s nothing marking the mating ceremony here, thoughts of a wedding never crossed my mind even though I’ve wanted the ceremony more than I wanted to be married.
