Chapter 21. The Alpha’s Order

Ruby’s POV

Loads of unshed tears waiting to fall at brim as my gaze trailed the sleeping form of my princess and is it safe to say, my friend? That could be a far stretch considering our status but she never made me feel less even from the first day.

I don’t care what the Alpha says by referring to her as his slave but she remains my princess.

I looked up from where I sat, curled up shivering all through the night, unable to catch sleep, scared the princess would wake or might get attacked. I hated the latter for weeks now. She hasn’t responded or even tweaked her eyes open.

“Why are you sitting here all by yourself? Go work with the other maids it’s morning.” Meredith says tiredly sitting beside me as our gaze focuses on the sleeping princess. Her scars were clearing and the wounds were mostly healed apart from a few which were slow but apart from the outer she hasn’t responded to any treatment and any sign of standing back on her feet any time soon.
