Chapter 40. Duties to the Alpha

Mirabelle’s POV

The smell of burning herbs bloomed high in the air as my nostril perceived the strange substance as I walked into the healer’s temple.

It was hard to convince the Alpha to let me leave after the little display and after I fell asleep.

My limbs feel cranky and need a lot of stretching and activity. The room looked to be empty of Ruby and the healer but the warmth made me realize it wasn’t long they left as I made my way to the bed that was allocated to be mine as I plopped lazily on it with my hands placed on my chest as I bit my lips smiling.

The Alpha had kissed me and I don’t know what to believe about the way my womanly folds throbbed excitedly with heat rushing in my thighs and my nipples hardened just from a mere kiss- who was I deceiving? The kiss was nothing as mere as I described it had the stars and the moon floating in my vision from just having his lips to mine.
