Chapter 28

[Caden’s Story]

Victoria wiped away her tears and adjusted herself a few minutes later. She felt a little relieved after crying. It's been a few days since she discovered Caden’s infidelity, but she couldn’t even confront him! Suddenly, her nanny shouted! 

She immediately went downstairs to check what was happening, and she was bewildered to see the woman weeping. “What’s wrong, Martha?” She asked. 

“Your father!”

Victoria wondered why Martha suddenly mentioned her father even though he was still on a business trip. “Why? What happened to Daddy? Did he call earlier and look for me? ”

“Look,” Martha pointed her hand at the television. “His plane crashed, and no one survived!” 

 Victoria’s eyes were immediately glued to the television but she couldn’t speak! She was speechless while reading the caption of the news! “No! Daddy isn't dead yet! That's not true!" Victoria angrily slammed their television. Gradually her strength was e
