Chapter 25

I should pull myself together. I know Vince said I shouldn't misunderstand him, but sometimes he's crossing the line that I can't be bothered to see if he's doing it on purpose. It makes me look like a fool trying to step on crap on purpose.

After I went to my room, as much as I wanted to finish my food, I stayed on my bed without even bothering if Louis left. After an hour and him having to go to the office, I figured both of them left when I dozed off.

A call to my name woke me up after a few hours, and Liza knocked.

"What happened?" I supposed Louis told her to take care of me. I could somehow sense it or just predict his moves.

"It's nothing." I looked at the time, and it was past 6 pm.

My head still hurts, perhaps stress from Vince or whatever the doctor told me, or both.

"You hungry?"

"No." I shake my head as I stand up. "My head is killing me."
