Fortunately, I managed to control my drinking tonight. Lisa's drunk as she's swaying left to right and talking nonstop. Jia is also getting drowsy but talks to Joshua after closing her eyes for a few seconds.

Louis went to the bathroom, and Vince took this chance to talk to me.

"So, now it's official." He spoke, and I nodded.

"What time will you be leaving?" I ask.

"You're telling me to leave now?"

"No. I'm just asking. It's late already." I laughed.

"I couldn't go without giving you this." He picked up a white paper gift bag at his side and slid it over on the table towards me. "Happy Birthday."

Honestly, I'm surprised by the gesture. Thinking about it, he never did greet me on my birthday. "Thanks," I said with a smile, taking his gift.

"I know it's late, but it's better than never."
