My smile couldn't disappear the following day. Still, the exciting thing is the dental team made a surprise party for me, except for Dr. Staten, since she was away on her honeymoon for the whole week.

"Don't think we forgot about your birthday." Nikki gave me her present. "Dr. Staten sends her greetings with this one."

"Wow, gee. Thank you." I smiled brightly.

"You seem to be too happy on your birthday." Naomi comments.

"Well, she should," Nikki replied. "Duh, it's her birthday."

I could give Naomi a nod for her observation, though I thank Nikki for explaining it. However, Naomi is right. I am somehow happier than usual for my birthday.
