Chapter 14

“You’re drinking too much,” I turned to Loren who had been watching me since earlier. We were still sitting in our seats for the past half hour.

“Oh, am I?” I was asked because I didn’t notice that I was drinking a lot. This is just wine, though. It’s delicious and I’ve only just tasted it now so I can’t help it.

He just nodded and lowered the wine glass I was holding on the table. He took my hand and intertwined our fingers. I looked down there. I felt electricity flow quickly from there to my body. It was as if I was suddenly burned out and became anxious.

I looked up at his face and frowned so that I would not be obviously affected by him. I don’t know what’s happening. Why am I feeling this way? I’m not stupid, but I don’t want to accept that idea, okay. I do not want it.

We stared at each other for quite some time. We did not speak. His serious eyes looked straight at me as
