Chapter 29
“Was there ever any doubt?!” Nata said.
“How far are we from the main road?” Bartz asked.
Smugbug smiled. “Finding the main road is easy from here. Just take the path over there.” He pointed.
Sure enough, there was another path cut through the woods. A sign posted on one of the trees near the path read: MAIN ROLD.
Smugbug grabbed a handful of sugar from his plate and thrust it in the direction of his new friends. “Enough business. Eat! Eat!” he said. “It is very tasty.”
He stuffed a huge paw full into his mouth.
Bartz followed his lead.
The others followed Bartz’s lead.
“What brings you out our way?” Smugbug asked. “We don’t get many visitors out here.”
“We are searching for a giant Blue Dragon,” Bartz answered.
“Ah, yes,” Smugbug said knowingly. “Recently, we’ve seen the creature and others of its kind pass over now and again.”
“You mean there is more than one?” Tomas asked reluctantly.
“Of course,” Smugbug sai
