Chapter 54
Cara sat in her dressing room preparing for her next performance. Since it was going to be at the funeral for her mother and ex-king Lary, she was going for the perfect solemn and sensitive look with the right amount of alluring and sensual.
She snapped her fingers. The white arch-mage’s gown she was barely wearing turned black. She stood up and looked at herself in a couple of the room’s many mirrors. She looked great in black. It set off her golden hair and tan skin. Plus, black really brought out all the curves of her body. Still, black was such a downer color. She didn’t want to depress her audience any more than they already were. It was her job to lift their spirits. To give them all hope. Black just wasn’t right.
