Zayla’s POV
“Happy birthday to you…!” A chorus of giggles and applause surrounded me as I celebrated my 20th birthday back at the orphanage.
‘Odd.’ I thought to myself, feeling some sense of deja vu after blowing my candle off. I try looking around if I could shake the feeling off, but the more I look around, the more I feel like this has happened before. Which is pretty impossible as this is the first time I’ve celebrated at the orphanage. I always had a lonely one at home wherein I’d finish a whole wine bottle by myself as I nibble on my steak.
