Chapter 63

Everything went still when a sudden bright light came from the pendant, blinding every wolf in the vicinity for a few minutes.

Ryder growled in agitation and worry as every wolf in the area was thrown into the air.

Jackson, Kayden, and Zayla had their fingers extended while grappling blindly on the ground for the necklace.

The sun has already risen but Kayden and Zayla still refuse to budge from their deep sleep. What scared Ryder, even more, was how still their bodies were. The only sign that they are alive is how their chests move up and down regularly.

Once in a while, some of the pack members check on the sleeping alpha and Luna only to turn back around with a saddened expression. Ryder stayed at Kayden’s house to guard them both while still unconscious.

Laying back down on the sofa as he looks at the familiar ceiling, Ryder scoffs at the sudden nostalgia hitting him. He remembers how he had to literally babysit Zayla while Kayden was away for days.
