Chapter 67

“How many days was I out?” Jackson woke up with a groan and pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Two days, alpha Rus.” One of his wolves helped him to sit up and lean on the headboard.

“Did I miss anything?” Everyone murmured a low ‘no’ as they refused to look him in the eye. He then asked, “What happened?” He had an idea but he wanted to hear it himself and make sure it was not part of the dream.

One wolf who made it out alive from fighting with Kayden’s pack stepped up and recounted what happened, “There was suddenly a bolt of lightning coming from your necklace, alpha Rus.”

Jackson looked annoyed and asked the wolf to keep going, “And then everyone, including you, Zayla, and Kayden, was thrown into the air and dropped back unconscious. When we all regained our consciousness, the beta of Kayden’s pack was already ordering his warriors to take their alpha and Luna back to Portland.”

“So they were unconscious too?” Jackson asked, suddenly interested.
