Kayden could not measure the affection and sympathy he has for his mate. Hearing her talk on her own terms makes him feel proud. He knows it was not easy to leave that corner of her mind where the trauma was holding her down so much that she ended up shutting off every attempt to help her.
He rounds the table and offers his hand to Zayla, “Shall we then?” He looks down with a gentle smile after feeling her warm hands on top of his. She squeezed in affirmation of her decision and let him guide her. Zayla had finally torn down the walls and was letting her mate back into her life.
